Hamburg. Tea specialties are hot demand around the world from Germany.
The steadily rising export figures showed the German tea traders, the
German Tea Association said on Friday in Hamburg. In addition to the
traditional major European markets, Britain and France there is an
increased demand for German tea in Russia and the United States. "The
U.S. will become an increasingly important market for the German tea
trade," said Jochen Spethmann, chairman of the German Tea Association.
"Quality is paramount. Therefore, many U.S. companies obtain their
wares from established German company known for high quality. "

In 2004, the German tea exports by 2885 tonnes to 21 637 tonnes have
increased. With that, about half of the 43 403 tonnes imported tea
after processing for export. The other half consumed the German
consumer. Drank an average of every citizen in the past year, about 25
liters of hot beverage. In addition to Indonesia and China India and
Sri Lanka are the main suppliers to the German market.

Most important is the hub port of Hamburg. In the second-largest
seaport in Europe not only 70 percent of German tea imports are
handled, but also 50 to 60 percent of Europe's traded teas. Hamburg is
thus tea capital of the European continent.

On the demand side, exporters and strategic planners focusing on cocoa beans in United States face a number of questions. Which countries are supplying cocoa beans to United States? How important is United States compared to others in terms of the entire global and regional market? How much do the imports of cocoa beans vary from one country of origin to another in United States? On the supply side, United States also exports cocoa beans for sale. Which countries receive the most exports from United States? How are these exports concentrated across buyers? What is the value of these exports and which countries are the largest cocoa bean buyers? This report was created for strategic planners, international marketing executives and import/export managers who are concerned with the market for cocoa beans in United States. With the globalization of this market, managers can no longer be contented with a local view. Nor can managers be contented with out-of-date statistics which appear several years after the fact. I have developed a methodology, based on macroeconomic and trade models, to estimate the market for cocoa beans for those countries serving United States via exports, or supplying from United States via imports. It does so for the current year based on a variety of key historical indicators and econometric models. In what follows, Chapter 2 begins by summarizing where United States fits into the world market for imported and exported cocoa beans. Equal Exchange's Interfaith Program connects the small farmers in communities of Latin America, Africa and Asia with those in the United States by offering a fair price on coffee to congregations, and affordable credit and supporting sustainable agriculture to the farmers to build better lives for themselves and their families."We couldn't put it out fast enough," the Rev. Bruce Kochsmeier of First Presbyterian Church said of the coffee. "Everyone was buying it for Christmas presents.""Coffee is the third sacrament in the Presbyterian Church.
